At 10:40 PM Pacific Time tonight, August 7th, Mercury stations direct in the first degree of Leo. Today and tomorrow, it is possible to sense the future potential of human relationship.

It is likely that during these next 30 hours or so, you will notice a difference in your interaction with someone who has been difficult for you for a long time. You will be experiencing a new way of holding your energy that creates a medium for free exchange without the temptation or risk of triggering each other the way you have been.

I invite you to be open, during this period of time (and forever more as you are able), to be a willing observer of the FEELING of your interactions with others – most especially when you enter a discussion with the special someone who has been giving you fits forever.

What you will sense is your own version of personal sovereignty that is so strong it can allow for and delight in the sovereignty of all whom you encounter. Develop a conscious awareness of what this feels like, in a way that you can access again and again as you go. Think of it as a deposit into the library of feelings you choose to have. In a futuristic sense, creating the library of feelings you like is the work of this time.

The sensing of it has to do with noticing how it contrasts with the way you previously related with this person. It is not necessary to be able to explore the minutia of that difference – to do so would be to focus some of your energy on the previous version. I don’t have to tell you you’ve done enough of that.
Instead, as you sense this releasing of old, you know – crap – choose to rejoice in the NEW feeling.
It may be something you notice in the midst of a busy moment and if that is the case I invite you to dedicate one full breath to the new sensation. You will be able to return to it later when you’re not distracted.

If it happens in a moment during which you can actually devote a little time to it – maybe you’re working at home and you get off the phone and recognize the opening – do a little ceremony around it. Burn some sage, have a cup of tea, dance and shout… whatever works for you to send some energy back to the universe in thanks and celebration of your soul’s growth.

Over the course of the last month or so, we’ve been getting bombarded with all kinds of South Node-y energies. People say things like “2 steps forward, 1 step back.” Where is it that you go with that 1 step back? South Node land.

So I will just guess that many of you have spent a little time lately on that back foot, in old loops of resistance and escape. Instead of thinking of it as time wasted or in other ways focusing on it negatively (which tells the universe you need more of it), try if you can to think of it as an opportunity to establish better footing for your next move forward.

Have you ever walked up a scree slope? You kind of have to wiggle your back foot in a little to move forward. That’s a way to see these last few weeks in a positive light – you’ve just been wiggling your toes in for better traction.

This is not just true personally, but societally and collectively as well. At some level, the terrible events during the last few weeks have been an expression of a collective South Node experience – old loops of anger and disappointment saying hello again.

You are probably a fairly sane, functional person – and you’ve been struggling. Imagine what it must be like for those members of our society who are really unhinged.

At the collective level, the more of us who are able to celebrate the opportunity of each step back, the more gratitude we will emanate and the more the universe will recognize the evolution of our species. It is an extremely delicate balance at this time as to whether or not the galactic beings think we are going to be worth keeping around.

Those of us who love the Earth want to be working on our emanations during these trying times.
The experience of this Mercury station is an opportunity to experience soul growth – which is what we are here for. The truth is, we humans do a messy job of it, but somehow from that mess the most beautiful expressions of love can arise. That’s why we are here.

The great ones love to see us loving the experience of life. Please join me in loving this life, this time, this place. It is messy. But it is perfect.

The Pleiadian symbol for the degree of Mercury’s direct station is, “Not knowing what to say, a woman blushes.” My response to this degree is, “recognizing her openness, her friend drops her guard.”
